Cavcorp’s director, Damien Cavallucci, knew that in presenting Club 55 as the unique selling point for residents of this development, the use of high-end products and finishes was essential. Martin Audio’s Coaxial Differential Dispersion (CDD) range of speakers were a natural choice. We used nine Martin Audio CDD6’s and two CDD5’s to cover the surrounds of the pool, dining and gym area. In addition, we commissioned three Ocean Ears SP-8 speakers inside the 55 metre lap pool, allowing residents to enjoy a unique underwater audio experience.

We designed and installed a custom environmental enclosure to house the Epson laser projector for the golf simulator and cinema area. The enclosure included temperature monitoring and control, with multiple high-flow fans for cooling. Specifically chosen filters prevent dust and moisture ingress.

The entire Club 55 AV system is centrally controlled by a Q-SYS Control Platform. This accommodates all the audio DSP, zoning and control. It also integrates automated scheduling of noise levels, allowing for night time noise restrictions. The whole system is controlled by a single iPad. We programmed the iPad interface to be simple and intuitive, being mindful of its users – all the residents of the Lucent complex.

The system we delivered contributes to providing an exceptional experience for the residents and visitors of Lucent. We look forward to working again soon with Cavcorp – a developer that continues to set the benchmark for high-end living in Brisbane.
